The breakfast room interior represents the core of Paul and Wietske’s childhood memories and travels, their motives, mood and method. It features original art work and heirlooms dating back to the 18th century. The Rhodesian teak and black slate flooring enhance the rustic ambience. In addition to gastronomic pleasure, a romantic wood fire warms the breakfast room in winter. An extraordinary degree of attention is lavished on the table settings and the food.
Wietske grew up on a farm and started baking bread at the age of four. Passionate about fresh produce, when cooking and baking, she uses only the best ingredients and prefers the organic and free range products she is accustomed to.
Our buffet spread, freshly prepared every morning, includes artisanal breads, cheeses, homemade preserves, creamy yoghurt, crunchy muesli, cold meat cuts, fresh fruit and juice. Our hot menu has all the firm favourites – prepared to order.
Freshly ground coffee and a variety of tea is served in beautiful antique porcelain crockery.
